The EU’s Three Official Defence Think-Tanks

- The European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) is the EU’s foreign and security policy think tank. It provides critical analysis and insights to inform the EU’s strategic choices.
- The European Defence Agency (EDA) is an intergovernmental agency of the Council of the European Union. EDA acts as a catalyst, promotes collaborations, launches new initiatives and introduces solutions to improve defence capabilities.
- Finabel promotes and facilitates the interoperability of land forces through the harmonisation of military concepts, doctrines and procedures. It produces recommendations, guidelines and research for army decision-makers according to the demands of its Member States.
